Do you do repairs?
Depends what it is. I certainly do a lot of necklace re threading.
I can solder and re size rings and I have access to laser welders,
polishers, stone setters and platers in Hatton Garden. My minimum
charge is £5.
Do you ever use a computer to design your work?
Yes I am currently learning to use an amazing piece of computer
aided design (CAD) software called Rhinoceros 3D. http://www.rhino3d.com/
Where does your love of luscious bright colours come
from?
It's partly because I have Synaesthesia, which is a joining together
of sensations that are normally experienced separately. Some synaesthetes
experience colours when they hear or read words, letters, or numbers
whilst others may experience tastes, smells, shapes or touches
in almost any combination. The sensations are automatic and cannot
be turned on or off. People are generally born with it and it
runs in families. It is not considered to be harmful in any way.
I couldn’t imagine life without it!
What colour is Wednesday, then?
Scarlet red.
What happened to Sperm Whale?
I became depressed and closed it in April 1999. Now I'm much happier
and I'm starting to paint plastic tankards again. (see Home Crafts
section).
What happens to lost socks?
I think they go to Sock Heaven, and occasionally, to ebay. A great
